A new video showing exactly how Hands-On Control works in NBA Elite 11 was released, translating how precise movements can create a genuine basketball experience.
Featuring Brandon Jennings, Stephen Curry, and cover athlete Kevin Durant, the video highlights the unique control system being introduced in Elite. Currently being developed for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, controls will take advantage of the controller layout, with the left stick controlling the lower half of the body, and the right stick controlling the upper half.
A new skill-based shooting system is also being introduced. Instead of simple dice rolls to determine how successful a shot will be, shooting will be based on a “sweet spot,” that grows or shrinks depending on your player’s skill level and proximity to the hoop.
All of these features are on top of new graphics and physics engines that cuts the string between offensive and defensives actions. Players are no longer tied to each other, creating situations where animations are more realistic and expressive.
NBA Elite 11 will be available this fall on October 5th.
