Valve is a big dog in the gaming industry, they may be the ones to start the trend of companies developing both PC and Mac. One other big feature is cross platform support: If you have a Mac and PC, your games will be available for both Mac and PC for free. The last important feature is that Mac and PC versions of games will be together on multiplayer servers.
